I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations and apprecia- tion to all the members of the Yearbook Staff for the truly out- standing devotion to duty they displayed in producing this book of memories for the year 1981. Their wonderful spirit and enthu- siasm will always be an inspiration to me. A special thanks to Dedication The Yearbook Staff is pleased to announce the dedication of the 1981 Keene Central School Year- book to Mrs. Kathleen Purdy. Mrs. Purdy, the for- mer Kathleen McCourt, is a 1957 graduate of Keene Central School and is al- so a graduate of the State University College at Plattsburgh, where she was an excellent student. After completing her studies, she secured a teaching position at Keene Central, serving in that position as an ex- cellent teacher for the past 16 years. The en- thusiasm and dedication she has given to her pro- fession and students has always been of the highest order. She constantly displays an attitude of .Mu. CfCtUA4een uuly joy in learning and tries to instill this attitude in her students. Mrs. Purdy presently teaches Biology, Chemistry, Math 10, Math 11, and Math 12. She has been senior class advisor several times and has served as an officer in the Teacher’s Association and is now serving as a mem- ber of the Scholarship Committee. Mrs. Purdy is always willing to help her students, and she frequently goes way beyond the call of duty to do so. She is a cheerful, understanding, and caring person. Talented and ener- getic, she is well-liked by both students and colleagues. We arc grateful to have her as a member of our faculty and community. 1
