SENIOR TRIP - 1969 On Friday, April 11th, at 1 A.M., the following Seniors, accompanied by our chaperones, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Daley, left for Miami Beach, Florida: Laura Sloan, Donna Coolldge, Sharron Nicholson, Donald Ashe, Michael Bickford, John Mehrman, Lance Luck, Douglas Feitshans, Michael Hartson and Robert Hickey. Traveling with us were Mr. and Mrs. Holt, Mrs. Elizabeth Hig- gins and Ilene Mossey. We arrived in Hew York City after having spent a cold night on the train. Once In New York, we transferred from Grand Central Station to Penn Station. We boarded the train Friday morning at 10 A.M. and arrived in Miami around 1 P.M. We stayed at the Georgian, a small hotel with a private beach and swimming pool. During the day the temperature ranged from 75 to 85 degrees, and the only rain came at night. On Monday, we went on the bus tour of the greater Miami area, which Included visiting Hialeah Race Track. We had a guided tour of the grounds through the aquarium and Bird Land. The fishing trip, which we went on Tuesday, started out exciting, but resulted in sea sickness for most of the members of our group. The boat tour to the Seaquarlum on Wednesday was very interesting. It's where the TV program, Flipper is taped. We saw some shows which included Flipper, a porpoise and a sea lion show. On the boat ride back we saw Millionaire How and were told to whom most of the houses belonged, how they made their millions, and how much their houses cost. We al- so saw where the Winter White Ho se was located. Thursday was our free day to do as we wished. Most of us chose to remain on the beach to soak up as much sun as possible. Among the other events which we enjoyed were a wrest- ling match, Funny Girl , Hell in the Pacific , golfing and shopping. Regretfully, we left Miami Friday, April 18th at noon, arriving in New York City about 5:30 P.M. Upon arriving, we all made a mad rush to Radio City Music Hall to catch the Easter Show and the movie, The Love Bug . We left New York at 10 P.M. and were greeted when we arrived home around 6:30 I.H. by inches of wet, heavy snow. It wa8 a trip not many of us will forget for a long time
