“SPORT ' S SOCCER SEASON 1958-1959 The following boys, from the Senior Class, participated in the 1958-1959 Soccer Season; Harold Heald, James Reed, Douglas Lawrence, Robert Denton and William Ormsby. Due to a back injury and Doctor?s orders Cyril Buysse was unable to play this season. The BEAVERS had a poor season this year compared to previous seasons, but they did come through to win the Class C Sectional Champion- ship. BASKETBALL SEASON 1958-1959 Only three of the Senior boys participated in the Basketball Program and they are as follows: Harold Heald, Robert Denton and Bill Ormsby. Although the team did not win a game during the season, they didn't give up, and the Mountain and Valley League awarded them the Sports- manship Award, for the 1958-1959 Season. BASEBALL SEASON 1958-1959 Only one of the Seniors of 1959 participated in this Sports Event and that was Bill Ormsby. The team did well during the season, finishing in 3rd place, with a 7 and 3 record, and defeating Altona and Moriah, to win the Section 7 Sectional Championship. This year there were three Seniors playing baseball and they are: Harold Heald, Bob Denton and Bill Ormsby. The first game was played on April 30th and the second on May 4th and Keene Central has yet to win. Since the Seniors of 1959 started playing Varsity Sports, they have helped win the following Trophys: 1955 League Championship Sectional Championship, in Soccer 1956 Sectional Championship in Soccer 1957 League Championship 1958 Sectional Championship in Soccer 1956 Sportsmanship Award in Basketball 1958 Sportsmanship Award in Basketball 1956 Sectional Championship in Baseball 1958 Sectional Championship in Baseball As a climax to this page of the Senior Scope of 1959, we, the Seniors, wish the future Teams of Keene Central the BEST OF LUCK.
