For the majority ot the 'l1gers, ranging in age from eight to senior citizens, the chance to ride a Navy ship at sea would be a once-in- a-lifetime Opportunity. Some had been looking fonrvard to that day for months. 5 5 ' Once the ligers arrived at Camp Lejeune, N.C., they were shuttled from the beach to the ship via Landing Craft Air Cushion lLCACj.
