Newton, stepping UD from the Welterweight division, where he lost a divided decisiOFl in the COMNAVFE Finals, decisively battled his way tn the paclzlt iight middleweight title, thus winning a trip Stateside to iight in the AH' Navy Championships in San Francisco.
