We experienced many good times and his inspiration guided us in the right direction during the bad times. He dedicated his time and effort to help us accomplish the goals we set for ourselves and his door was always open in time of need. Words can not reveal the gratitude that is felt in our hearts. For those of us who have worked on the staff, it has meant a port of our lives. In the beginning, we casually agreed to stay after school and put it together. How hard could it be to crop pictures, do layouts, type copy, select a cover and choose a theme? Well we soon realized it wasn't as easy as we'd imagined. The after schools became before schools and before schools turned into lunch hours. If it couldn't be done then, we stayed nights. I think we had the most fun when we stayed late. Time wasn't a factor, so we relaxed, but worked. Sometimes, we were so frustrated that we'd sit and laugh at anything. We knew then how really tired we were. Unable to go home for dinner, we usually sent someone out for pizza. All worked stopped when the food arrived. You'd think we hadn't eaten in a month!! Mrs. Graham always reminded us that we still had things to do. I remember her yelling over our laughter. We have a deadline to meet, let's go!! Although she did joke around with us a lot. At times we'd have to get her to stop laughing. When it came to work, we couldn't have had a better group to do it. Everyone gave of themselves — Wendy with her typing and trips to get pizza; Irene, fingers flying to type that last copy sheet (the whole time probably wondering whether it was part of the editor's job); Diane and Sue our Proofreader editors before their well deserved promotion to associate; Jody, back to school at 6:00 soaking wet from a swim meet, yet ready to work; our activities editors Ginny. Heidi. Mary. Joni Beth, and Vicki who really worked to complete such a difficult section; MaryLu and Frank our Early bird treasurers; and always Mr. Graham to lend moral support when we were too exhausted to know what it was. It may have taken a lot of time and a lot of work, but I don't think anyone has regretted it.
