We are like the rainbow of our theme with our variety of opinions, feelings, goals and personalities. Without the mixture of colors, the rainbow is nonexistant, just as we, the Class of '77, would be without the cooperation of individuals. We have cooperated with one another and have worked together so well that we can say with pride, that we are one of the best classes that Kearny High has known. We have all searched for the elusive rainbow in our lives. For some, it is found on graduation day, with the diploma being the sought - for pot of gold. For others, that day is just the beginning of a search of an even clearer, more beautiful rainbow. I hope, and am sure, that each one of you will find happiness at the end of the rainbow. I have, by seeing you grow and mature from freshmen into men and women who know their own minds and can stand on their own two feet. Watching this change take place has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my teaching career. I consider myself lucky to have worked with you, and am truly going to miss you as a group once you have graduated. I will always cherish the friendships that have been shared in the past and will continue into the future. I wish to give special thanks to Miss Judy Louisot for the many hours of dedication that were put into producing our yearbook. She has assisted us in every endeavor and has always been available to us with helpful suggestions as well. Mrs. Leslie Port I find the most difficult task to perform is, to say Goodbye. Goodbye, signifies the end, a completion of an aquaintenceship. Graduation is not an end, it is a beginning. A start of a whole life, an adult life. I'm not saying goodbye to a fine group of kids leaving high school, I'm saying Congratulations and best wishes to a group of fine young adults. Good luck in searching for your pot of gold, it's there waiting for you at the end of the rainbow - just keep searching for it. The wild and windy night that the rain washed away, Has left a pool of tears crying for the day. Why leave me standing here. Let me know the way.
