Thomas A. Shanks was born on July 24, 1952. Tommy attended Washington School where his activity and leadership earned him the presidency of the Student Council. Graduating with honors on June 15, 1966, Tommy entered the Freshman Class of Kearny High School. All who came to know Tommy came to love him. On March 28, 1967, a tragic accident brought death to the Shanks’ home. We who knew him will never forget the curly-haired blond, his broad smile, his sincere love of all around him. As we, the Senior Class, present our 1970 yearbook, we also present our love, our respect, and our sorrow for a beloved friend. In Meinoriam 6
