12:00-12:46 p.m. Komet Style After four seemingly eternal hours the break everyone looks forward to finally arrives: LUNCH! An observer might say it looks like chaos, with cars rushing out of the lot, people pushing to get in line, food and who knows what that is hap- pening. But to students and faculty it's time to relax, socialize or even catch up on studying. Students spend lunch in many differ- ent ways. Some feel they stand in line the entire lunch, others use the time to play sports. Many schools activities also occur during lunch, elections, pep ral- lies, music and demonstrations. Of course a few students forget it's lunch and spend the whole time studying in the library for that exam sixth period. Anyways-What's more important, food or school? Lunch is also time for doing business. Terri Honda, loyce Estrada, and Sandra Paez of the Se- nior Class Council measured heads for the senior's caps and gowns on the Senior Patio. The lines themselves don't diminish at least for the first fif- teen minutes. Intramural sports are gaining popularity at Kearny during lunch.
