ession. Dot: tlvlike Cerringi hits the bottle much to the despair of Lola. Kearny,s drama production for 1977 was Come Back Little Shebau, directed by Mr. lack Winans. The play por- trayed a marriage that was about to collaspe. The hus- band, Doc, abandoned his dreams of becoming a doctor in order to marry his wife, Lola, but Lola had let herself go and he found his escape in drinking. Lola's retreat to reminisce her youthful past was in the form of her lost puppy, Sheba. To complicate matters, Doc was infatuated with their college boarder, Marie, who reminded him of youth, beauty, and innocence- the lost qualities of Lola. ln all of this, Marie became an important factor in Doc and Lola's marriage and after she left to marry Bruce. they rec- onciled. Come Back Little Sheba was zi difficult production and the Marquee Club gave an excellent performance of Ntiiriosother1'o1iiaiict'.
