llfljlzoii Wulzo in glue C1056 0 '63 Students honored in this section are elected by the Faculty JAMES LINSCOTT, a top choice for Who's Who, has served Kearny in many ways in his three years here. Jim was outstanding as our school president this year. He has also been active as a member of the Senior Council, Co-President of Quill and Scroll, Co-Editor of Scribbler's Frolic, in A.F.S., Key Club, and Life Member of C.S.F. Last year Jim was Junior Classes Editor on the '62 Komet staff. Jim has had the honor of becoming a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Contest, and was picked Apple of Our Eye in September of this year. RICHARD CARTER, sparking enthusiasm and spirit into Kearny's activities, has been one of Kearny's '63 cheerleaders. Rick has also shown leadership as President of the Key Club, Chairman of his Junior Class Coke Committee, and a member of A.F.S., Pep Club, and Letterman's Club. In his Junior year he was Boys' State Representative, and chosen as Outstanding Junior Boy. Rick was active in sports as a par- ticipant in Cross Country and Track, and lettered as a fine Varsity gymnast. JOEL EWAN has been very successful in sports and extra- curricular activities. He played Junior Varsity Football as a Sophomore, and then lettered on Varsity in his Junior and Senior years, as an outstanding member of the team. Joel's many activities include Letter- man's Club President, Key Club, Inter-club Council, and Sophomore Class President. Besides his participation in sports and fine academic work as a Life Member of C.S.F., Joel has served on the A.S.B. Council as Commissioner of Boys' Activities, and was a member of the Anti- Smoking Committee.

ARMIN MOTHS, a top student, as shown by his Life Membership in C.S.F., has also been active in school organizations. His activities include: President of C.S.F., Vice-President of Bi-Chem-Phi, Math Club membership, and intramural handball. Outstanding in mathematics, Armin represented Kearny at the mathematics field day at Occidental College, and won Third Place in the San Diego Science Fair for his work in mathematics. He has also had the honor of becoming a National Merit Scholarship Contest Finalist. CHRISTINE ROBINSON, leading our Band with pep and style as this year's Band Major, has also been Band Librarian and a member of Pep Band. Performing service for many of Kearny's various organi- zations and clubs, Chris has been: Tutoring Chairman for C.S.F., Man- aging Editor of Quill and Scroll, Treasurer of Math Club, and Secretary of Bi-Chem-Phi. She has served as a member of A.F.S., F.T.A., Spanish Club, and French Club. In her Senior year Chris was selected to be a member of the Dianas. CRAIG HENDRICKSON has participated in many extra-curricular activities while keeping a fine academic record. Craig has been Presi- dent of Math Club, Life Member of C.S.F., in A.F.S., Bowling Club, Bi-Chem-Phi, Inter-Club Council, Chairman of the Senior Trophy Com- mittee, and a fine Editor-in-Chief for the Komet '63 Annual. Craig has been outstanding in science and mathematics. He has shown this by participating in the Kearny and San Diego Science Fairs, and has represented Kearny at San Diego State and Occidental College in mathematical field days. ROSEMARY BORGES, leading Kearny in school spirit, has done an excellent job as Head Cheerleader. She has served on the A.S.B. Council, and has achieved an appointment to the Dianas. Her activities include: Pep Club, drama, Treasurer of A.F.S., and working on the '62 Komet Staff last year. Rose has been a member of the House of Representatives and represented Kearny at the San Diego Associated Student Council.
