Being outweighed and outmanned didn't bother the hustling Komets as they rolled up a convincing 3843 score. Our men trom K.l-l.S. then ventured over to l-lelix. We met the Highlanders who were really up tor this game, because ot their tield dedication night. The l-lelix boys showed surprising power winning I3-O. Next in line were the Foothillers trom Grossmont. l-laying lost many games in a row, they went home sadly disappointed as the tinal score read l4-I3 in Kear- ny's favor. Our boys had a rugged night when we met l-loover as we were snowed under 45-O. Also we try not to remember that warm atternoon when we traveled over to Sweetwater. The Red Devils scored two tirst halt touchdowns and deteated us I3-7. The best game ol the year was with San Diego, who eventually became City Prep League Champions. A couple ot breaks tor the Cavemen aided them in winning 26-l3. ln what proved to be a battle ot detense, we came out victoriously against Lincoln 6-O. Out to make it two league wins in a row and trying hard to win tor our homecoming, the Komets registered a brilliant 2l-7 triumph over the La .lolla Vikings. Fighting to take third place, we lost to Point Loma 27-7. Although tinishing fourth, the '54 Komets will be remembered as a small, hustling team with a lighting spirit to win.
