Though the girls' varsity basketball team did not win many games this year, the dedication and drive of the girls made for a very spirited team . The senior starters consisted of center Donna Troupe. forwards Dawn Troupe and Cheryl West, and guards Rhonda Pechillo and Cookie Sheppard. The junior starters were Sharon Watson, forward, and Debbie LaBone, guard. Top scorers were Donna Troupe and Cheryl West, who scored their highest games against I-Iolmdel and Henry Hudson. Both these seniors played basketball all four years of high school. During these years they improved a great deal and always gave an impressive performance . Iunior Sharon Watson was another high scorer for the Titan girls, and scored her highest game at the Freehold Twp. and Holmdel games. She is a good shooter and a hope for the future . Coach lane Pukstas had notl1ing but praise for every girl , and if they continue to improve , the team should have a fine season in 1976. ABOVE LEFT: Cheryl West practices her layups. The Titan varsity baseball team finished the sea- son with an 11-8 record, placing them third in the D division. The high point of the season came in the State Tournament when the Titans defeated Ber- nards, third seeded team in the state.- But in the semi-finals of the Tourney, we were finally defeated by Hoffman. Seniors provided the lead for the team, with pitcher George Boyce hurling 6 wins. 4 losses. His batting average, 345, did a lot to make the team the winners they were. Bob Sullivan, with a batting average of 350, John Regan, hitting 375, and Jerry Spoor, with an impressive 420 , will all be missed in seasons to come. x ,,7, ABOVE LEFT: TWO hands, Bob!
