TOP: The local crew at the Tuesday Basketball game. ABOVE: The fast footwork of John Regan stops this oppo- nent dead in his tracks. The name of the game This year's Titan Varsity club compiled a 10 win, 14 loss overall record . This marks the second highest number of wins in a season since the 1972-'73 campaign. For the fourth year in succession, K . H . S . entered the Freehold District Christmas tourna- ment held at Freehold Twp. This year the Titans took 1st place honors in the consolations bracket. The Titan's wound up with a 2 win 1 loss record for the tournaments. After the holidays, play opened up in the D division of the Shore Conference. The division offered stiff competition and the Titan's record stood at 3 wins, 11 losses when divisional play concluded . In earlyrMarch, Keansburg entered the annual NISIAA State Tournament. Dunnellen was the Titan's first-round opponent, and Keansburg came away with a convincing 77-55 triumph. In the second round the Titan's suf- fered a heartbreaking 62-54 overtime loss to powerful Montogermy H . S . Three seniors and two juniors held down starting positions throughout most of the sea- son. Seniors, Iohn Regan and Bob Sullivan anchored the guard slots, Bob Creighton, a senior, and Bob Dixon, a junior, held the for- ward slots, and junior Jim Henkel was a main- stay at the pivot. The remaining 8 Titans sup- plied a great deal of manpower off the bench.
