This year, like last, the Titans produced a win- ning team . Voted into the top ten by local papers we were the second defensive team in all of Middlesex and northern Monmouth County. These honors were earned by an offense that averaged 18.3 points per game. We also had the help of some very special players: George Boyce , a senior fullback, racked up 55 points for the season, averaging 4. 1 yards per rush. Carrying the ball 91 times, George gained a total of 373 yards. Joe Jimenez, a soph halfback, earned 46 points for the season. He ran the ball 82 times, for 428 yards, and he received '76 passes for 166 more yards. Dan Crane, a senior tight end, scored 26 points for the season, and as second leading receiver in Mon- mouth and Ocean counties, Dan caught 29 passes, for a total of 412 yards. Bob Sullivan, our senior quarterback, averaged 6 5 . 9 yards per carry, carrying the ball a total of 384 yards. The Titans also produced some All County players, George Boyce and Dan Crane making the second team, and Bobby Sullivan, on the third team, was also voted offensive player of the year. Receiving Honorable mention were Tim O'Brien, winner of the Vince Lombardi Award for outstanding linemen , Jim Robertelli and Joe Jimenez .
