....,.A 'T Seeing Double Kean College has existed for many years. With each year that passes, changes are madeg some were planned, others were not. Today, as we look at our school and future ahead, we often notice the problems and disadvantages. This can often be very frustrating since we cannot control ever- ything that is around us. We visit Washington D.C. to fight for student aid. We learn about the facts con- cerning nuclear build-up in government class and join the freeze coalition. We read about the large number of starving children in other parts of the world when there is extreme hunger near our backyards. We discover the red tape that exists with- in most of the offices on cam- pus and vote for student leaders that run unopposed due to apathy. We know that things could be worse, but some times this is hard to be- lieve. Reflecting on the bad can sometimes make it difficult to recognize the good until we reach a little deeper and remember that problems and tribulations have existed since the beginning of time. Recollections can then be- come a working force to help us appreciate what we have by viewing it as a building block for tomorrow's im- provements. Taking two steps forward and one step back while crossing our bridges is nothing more than a way of emphasizing the im- portance of striving ahead toward the future.
