EUGENE G. WILKINS To the Class of 1966: Each of us likes to be individually distinguished. The Class of 1966 closes a lll-year period of the college. ln September of 1966 the College begins its career, though in a small way at first. as a multi- purpose college. It is as if your class in leaving were carrying a flag along the highway and giving it to the watchman. indicating that the way was open for others to come. l can visualize the Class of l966 with 111 years of other classes going before them: those in Civil War costume, the gay 90's, the roaring 2O's, the pinched 30's, and the look of the Class of 1966, which l shall not attempt to describe.
