Class History It was September of 1965 and we were bright eyed and bushy tailed from our successful conquest of grammar school. This inward drive propelled us into our first year at Kay nor and all were eager to see what it held in store for us. The polish soon wore off as we traveled through the new routine of exploratory shop and the helter-skelter related education schedule, which did little to hamper the making of friends. The year passed slowly for most of us until we settled in our prospective shops. Before one knew it we were Sophomores, the second step on the ladder of sec- ondary success. We grew in knowledge as tradesmen, and by now were in con- trol of our schedules. Driver education was one of the new courses introduced to us this year and for many this rated as 1 -A in the category. The class was now organized, officers were elected and everyone went to work raising funds. Summer was upon us and soon gone. We were Juniors and convinced we were the best. We were now advanced in our trades and felt personally profes- sional. In October, under a state program, we attended a performance of r'Mac- Bet h” at the American Shakespeare Festival Theater. Toward the end of the year we again attended a Shakespeare play As You Like ItThis was the year we held a few dances and cake sales and casual days to beef up our treasury. The Junior Prom and class rings were highlights of the year. We were Seniors now and buckled down to take care of and finish up the work. Committees were set up to take care of the yearbook, candy sales, dues and other pressing matters. We again went to Stratford to view Richard II a Shakesperian play. Days flew in anticipation of the Senior Prom and then that also came. It was Graduation Day and most of us for a few fleeting moments wondered why we were joyous about leaving. There is no doubt that these four years were the most important, and will strongly influence us the rest of our lives. ROGER DU PONT Class President 16
