p COMMANDER I DAVID F. BRITT UNITED STATES NAVY United States Navy in May 1967. His first assignment after Machinist Mate A school was USS GLENNON CDD-8409 and a NATO standing force deployment to Northern Europe. He then attended Nuclear Power School and nuclear laboratory technician in USS TAUTOG QSSN-6393, where he earned his dolphins during a West- ern Pacific deployment. Selected to serve in the nuclear powered deep submersible, Subma- rine NR-1, Petty Officer Britt quali- p fied as a Navy Deep Sea Diver en- route. MM1 CSS DVD Britt completed his enlisted career as an Officer Can- didate in the Naval Enlisted Science and Engineering program. Commander Britt received a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of New Mexico and was commissioned in May 1977. He later earned his Masters in Financial Management from the Naval Postgraduate School. Commander Britt first served in USS SIERRA CAD-181 as Diving and R-5 Diifwion Officer following Ship Salvage Diving Officer training. His subsequent afloz' as- signments were in USS MISSISSIPPI CCGN-409, as Fire Control and Battery Cf' rol Officer: USS TICONDEROGA CCG-471 as Weapons Control and Combat Systewf Of- ficerg and USS THOMAS S. GATES CGC-519 as Executive Officer. His assignments ashore have been as lead Air Warfare instructor for Surfacc fir- fare Officers Department Head School and the Air and Electronic Warfare Dis on Head at Surface Warfare Development Group. Commander Britt's personal decorations include: Two Meritorious Service d- als, two Navy Commendation Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals and va uS unit and campaign awards. He is married to the former Maureen Reenie O'Malley. Commander and Britt are originally from the North Philadelphia suburbs. FS. LCDR Danko's initial sea tour was as ASW Officer in USS JESSE L. i BROWN IFF 10891 from March 1981 'i to July 1985. From July 1985 to Au- gust 1987 LCDR Danko served as n staff ASWXASUW Officer for COM- v DESRON 36. In September 1987 he reported to ' 9 4 the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA, and graduated in ,, n March 1990 with a masters degree in l Applied Science CASWJ. ' -4 Following Post Graduate School and SWOS Department Head School, LCDR Danko reported to the USS Boone CFFG 289 as Operations Officer.
