The Engineers, affectionately known as Snipes,', are the talented, hard working technicians who operate, maintain and stand watch over KAUFFMANE multi-million dollar power plant. With two aircraft derivative gas turbine engines for propulsion and four diesel engines for electrical generation, the engineers keep the shaft turning and the lights burning, enabling the ship to sustain itself at sea An equally important function is to provide hotel services for the crew. Things we take for granted at home such as water, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, light ing and plumbing are produced, monitored and serviced by engineers. Underway or inport, engineering never shuts down Snipes keep going, and going, . . .
