' Ki? Vlith but one more championship to go before laying permanent claim to the KIF Baseball Trophy, Coach Akio Kubota and his cohorts will do their utmost to make this the year. Sparked by an all veteran infield, the dream of any mentor, and a well seasoned outfield, the overall solidity of the Reds augers well for their chances of retaining their KIF and KAU diadems. Uncertain in only the pitching department, with three untested hurlers, Richard Doi, Howard Uyeno and James Kaneshiro, and one holdover, Miwao Kokame, the fine de-, fensive support should offset any weakness here, At the plate Billy Texeira, Bob Tamura, Haruo Fukumoto, Frank Yoshii and Pat Au- gustin will undoubtedly bang out many extra base hits. Rounding out the starting lineup unmen- tioned as yet are Ray Carvalho Tsuyoshi Sa- saki and Herbert Okamoto A -5 8' M R Yi fig., f if 1 ii 5 3 -ul' I Moulin 1 , s,,.. . if4l'I.l In :7 - ' . .n ' nu ' Il up ll .. 2 Q 5 LLEQJ U s , 1 Q iw r yf' i X Y if 1 'l w ' l 1 Q x 6 Y 'Y H ' 9 ji I , 5+ L 1, 9' x GA 1 y A ' QU!
