Ariola, M Kaliloa gala' Azdleza ,-4 In an effort to maintain their standing as good sportswomen , the Girls' Athletic Or- ganization launched a new competitive pro' gram whereby a girl was entitled to member- ship and a letter K if she could total in her playing a required number of points through the point system. Evidence of success was the great number of athletic talents revealed by this program. Officers chosen for the year's work werei Betty Tsukamoto, president, Lourdes Nelrnida, vice-president, Caroline Mayo, secretary- treasurer, and Florence Labrador, manager. 2046? The cream of all Kauai l-ligh's athletic talent is embodied in one group, fittingly called the Block K Club. Included among these are stand outs pulled off the gridiron, court, diamond, and cinderpaths. There is not enough that we can say about these few, who have toiled for long months and even years for the alma mater without hope of renumeration. Then there are those untiring ones, the managers, whose tasks are to provide for the needs and comfort of the players. Thousands of dollars worth of equipment pass through their hands, making dependability essential. JL Jfi Rcw l, left to right: L Kurisi: T Sa Kt baya .hi li Qarwalhi Row 4: C iufl Ono, M Kokorne, K.
