Grade 2 MRS. R. R. SL0AN7S We can see our progress is what the children in the second grade say. Learning is a happy experience. We were in the Christmas program. We were snowmen, snowflakes, and just 'aplaying childrenfl Our social activities included Christmas and Easter parties given by the room mothers. Mrs. Billy Morgan was our room mother chairman. The second graders at the right are showing their Easter rabbits made as one art ro'ect On the P J - bulletin board behind them are Easter eggs they designed and colored. We have read almost all of the second grade books, spelled many words, and tried to learn our number facts. We have also studied the planets, birds, and many other things. We have enjoyed watching the different stages in the de- ' velopment of a moth. The room mothers have given us four very nice parties. Mrs. Albelt Peek was the room mother chairmanf, These children pictured at the right are enjoying sweets and drinks that seem to go with all as parties. Turn to page 29 to see another picture that shows an interesting animal that was brought to class.
