Class Prophecy INCE the Class of 41 always has been an astute and economical class rather than go to the expense of a class reumon ten years hence it was decided to con ix f sult Omar the Mystic a phsycic of great repute and to determlne ln this man ner what the fates of our varlous members would be Accordingly one day last January we were gathered about Omar IH a darkened and incensed room staring eagerly at a pollshed crystal ball reposlng on a black velvet cloth on his table Omar went into a trance and gazed mto the ball With bated breath we awaited his first words But I see nothing he exclaimed absolutely nothing' At this pomt Rosalyn Slote famted Evidently she had had hlgh hopes for her future Omar could see that this was no ordinary class and decided that extreme meas ures were in order so he took out his extra special oversize deluxe crystal and started to ga7e once again This time we got results but not quite what we had expected We learned that Rosalyn Slote was to attain the high position of playmg slxteenth trombone in the Sal vatlon Army Band ers among our group Perhaps the foremost of these was Jean Brown the first lady dictator of Tomama a hard woman weve heard Robert Reda our woodsman IS the Father Divine of the Back to Nature cult One of Father Redas most enthusiastic converts is Warren de Ved who hves among his anthropold friends under the alias of Johnny Wexsmuller Charles Haug who started as an electrician was severely shocked at his task one day and now heads a reactionary group whose slogan IS Back to the Gas Lamp Stanley Haracz never got enough of high school ln his four years here so now he IS lecturing on behalf of his six year high school plan to give DUDIIS a better chance to get acquainted with their school and faculty Josephine Marotta is the leader of an expedition which has embarked on a hazardous trip to Mars This may haxe been prompted by Rosalyn S'ote s descrlptlon of Mars in English IV Class years ago According to the latest com mumque she IS now making slight advances somewhere ln the interior Joseph Smlth IS not the most famous but nonetheless he IS the best known of our leaders He IS a suaxe sleek floorwalker in Klein s First Avenue Accordmg to the newspapers Sarah Scofield IS always leading too You see shes a track star specializing in the two m1le run Omar decided to change the subJect and shlfted thls tlme to hterature The most outstanding here were Vxrgmxa Horton and Marjorie Bank who collaborated on the cur rent best seller and adventure novel called I Married a Man Hope Craig greatly miluenced by Mr Goddard of our history department has edited a conclse little solume called History at a Glance really a marvel of compactness Thelma Bathrlck long :g5?fQi:-:SIC .az f K 7 xv 'ka f, 1 , , ' K , gr T,. . - , . . . - ','gN 1 7 ' n , , ' ! , u . . i . , H ' as ' 46 ' n L y 9 ' , ' , .
