In the Foreign Language Department students were able to learn two of the romance languages. They were French and Spanish. English is said to be one of the most complex languages in the world. Therefore, a wide range of classes were offered so that a student might be properly exposed to the many aspects of our spo- ken tongue. The Library helps in the understanding of our lan- guage as a student at times was required to read different types of literature. Both the English and Library Depart- ments had new additions this year. Mr. Hall came to teach English at Kathleen. Mrs. Olander became the Library's secretary. Her iob was to help handle the work load of the Library. lll Students learn the art of express- ing themselves in Creative Writing.
