Students Prepare for the Adult World Students were involved in their own lives apart from school. As young adults they were faced with many privi- leges and responsibilities. Some were married and began families of their own. Most students had duties at home to fulfill and many exer- cised their rights to worship by attending church and getting involved in activities. Home: A Hot Meal and a Warm Bed The parents of an average KHS student probably found their teenage offspring gone a great deal of the time. Many parents may have felt that home was lust a stopover between 10:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. to their active sons and daughters. Yet nights and weekends were times that families often spent together. Many perhaps watched T.V. - they may have watched Cincinnati's sweep of the World Series or taken an interest in the televised Tampa Bay Buccaneer's football games.
