Each coach played a role in the team success. The head coach at Kathleen Senior High was Thomas Atwell. The players expressed a great deal of respect and pride in his coaching ability. The great success of Kathleen's defensive line was attributed to Gary Virden. Coach Vir- denis impressive style accomplished n1any deciding factors in victories. Ron Cobb is a new coach at KHS for the defensive secondary. He brought new ideas and beliefs which added to the success of the BIG RED MACHINE defense. Coach Bain besides being a great asset to Kathleen's J.V. offensive line also produced some good punters. He is head wrestling coach and there is no need to remind you of their great success. Coach Buddy Williams was in charge of the Big Red Machine's receivers. Besides devoting long hours to perfect Kathleen,s receivers he also taught Driver Education. Kathleenls tough defensive line was determined by the capability of Coach ,lim McCaskill. .lim McCaskill is a coordinator of the Learn and Earn Program.
