The students helped to finance the department by grow- ing and selling ornamental plants and vege- tables to the school and community. 2521 Library 'Let the Card Catalog Heho You. Kathleen's library is filled with all types of books, magazines, and audio visuals. Records, filmstrips, and other equipment which were helpful to students throughout the year were available. The library was open to serve the school from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Above: Dorian Hammond and friends like going to the library in their spare time. N' Many Courses Are Taught in the Learning Center. '7 There were two special education courses this year at KHS. The special classes included: English, U.S. History, Math, Consumer Math, and Job Preparation. Reading and Communica- tion skills had individual instruction. Some students work on and off campus. Classes are taught in groups or in individual sessions. Top Right-Hand Corner: Reading is one of Helen Hadler's favorite pastime hobbies. Middle: Very often Carol Belland goes bowling.
