Harvey Makes His Mark mga t Nadi 1 .1 MfQ:,.. xid. C ' Sixteen year old sophomore at Katella, Robert Harvey, has one of the most different and interestingjobs I know of. He is the Assistant Project Coordina- tor for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. CFF is a non-profit organiza- tion that raises funds to help discover a cure for the disease. Robert's main job is to help or- ganize the fund-raising pro- jects. In the past they have done fund-raisers like jog-a-thons, telethons, bowl-a-thons. and aerob-a-thons. Many celebri- ties have taken part in support- ing the activities by providing entertainment at the fund-rais- ers. Robert says that he is al- ways trying to come up with new and exciting ideas for pro- jects. Every weekend, Robert can be found at the fund-raising sites. Hisjob requires him to be able to deal with all kinds of people in a genteel manner. I-Ie must use his organizational skills and be able to work under pressure. Robert plans to work for the Cystic Fibrosis Founda- tion for as long as they need him. It will probably be seven to ten years before a cure is found.
