Lazar, D.Deleese, M.Small, I.McCuire. This year's I.V. team, led by head coach Jim Whieldon, captured a first place tie with Tustin making it the first I.V. team ever to do so. Showing the depth of the team, captain Neil Hinds was one of four guards who could start at anytime. The turn out for the team was so good this year, that many of the group had to alternate uniforms every game. If the numbers at the I.V. level stay the way they were, you can bet that the varsity program will remain a power- house for many years. Top Left: I.V. guard Artie Mory broke through Orange squeeze. Sophomores strove to achieve team goals Sophomore Basketball: R.Miramontes, B.Patrick, S.Walden, C.Duncan, I.Cave, G.Ramsey, j.Echevarria, R.Harvey, M.Domene. The Soph. and Soph. JV. teams opened league on a bright spot with both teams beating Tustin. Prom then on, the Cagers were inconsistent in their play. The Sophomores had a real tough year as they lost 7 games by no more than five points. On the other hand the Soph. jV's lost all seven pre-season games, then turned around their season by hav- ing an 8-6 league record. There was not a really outstanding player for the sophomores this year, but all starters, Rich Harvey, Craig Duncan, Burt Patrick, Mike Domene and Greg Ramsey did well.
