Mike Domene handed off to halfback Burt Patrick, Even though the numbers weren't great, the attitude was throughout the season. This was the feeling expressed by coaches, Mike l-lunkins and Doug Peterson. With their leadership the sophomore football team developed into a fine, improved football machine. During the course of the season, certain individuals showed much promise for next year. The backfield all year did a fine job with Mike Do- mene leading them at quarterback and j.D. Ecrement averaging more than a touchdown a game. The defense was anchored by the efforts of linebacker joe Villalobos, guard Frank Marshall, and end Breck Auten.
