Larry Recker and Don Walters blocked the oncoming defense. :Ns Katella quarterback, Lanny Core passed out of the pocket, against Foothill as he got blocking from tackle Ioe Barney, center Ron McLaughlin, and halfback Rory Bertania. Revenge-minded El Modena came to La Palma Stadium ready to play as they shocked the Knights 17-7. Despite the efforts of Glenn Evans on his touchdown scoring catch, the Knight's were behind most of the game. The first half was all El Modena as they rambled up the Katella middle. Coming out after halftime, Katella began throwing. Moving down the field, Sater hit Evans for a touchdown.
