Their functions throughout the year stretched far and wide. Their main re- sponsibility was distributing the finances amongst clubs, organizations, school projects and any other curricular activities. Outside of Katella, the cabinet also had the task of keep- ing good relations among the schools of our district and county. The officers were elected on their leadership qualities by last years student body. They got together fourth period to discuss the ways to make Katella more enjoyable. But class time wasn't the only time spent by cabinet members on problems. Many extra hours were put in working on how to build school pride amongst the students, building new lunch area planters and several meetings to determine their major goals and objectives for the year. These were: 1. The completion of the Student Park 2. Achieving better campus unity 3. Campus Improvement 4. More and better entertainment 5. Maintaining school spirit 6. Improvement of publicity Activities - 41
