Q, at if Ai' ,A Q 5 Year's assemblies centered around GXCi'fSmGI11 At the outset of the year, assemblies were charged with spirit and enthusiasm. The Howdy, Farewell, and Home- coming assemblies followed their tradition of entertaining students of Katella. As the year progressed, we were lucky in having the World Karate Champions, and two rock assembliesg Shuffle and the History of Rock, with Shuffle giving a few people the opportunity of dancing with their long-legged lead singer. The History of Rock was enjoyed very much as it allowed the student body to view the songs and styles of the fifties through the present. Be-Bop Week and Spirit Week provided great material for assemblies as people leap-frogged, hula- hooped, chug-a-lugged and limboed, while the audience looked on, rejoicing that they weren't out there. Rhonda Gogos proved her creativity as some of the more note- worthy assemblies were produced at the end of the year, much to the reliefiiof the student body who had been grumbling about a lack of variety.
