A 4 5 Q x Q 5 Foreign Exchange Students Experienced Different Life There were six foreign exchange stu- dents at Katella-Diana Catano from Mexico, Torbjorn Torell from Sweden, Luis Lindau from Brazil, and Kamran and Mehran C-abaee from Teheran, Iran. Stay- ing with Mr. Clary was Diana Catano from Acapulco and Mexico City, Mexico. She enjoyed the diversity of climate in South- ern California. She found people to be friendly and freer in their ideas with less restrictions. She enjoyed the United States and said that she hoped that in the future there could be closer and friend- lier relations between the people of the United States and Mexico. Luis Antonio Lindau came to Anaheim in january from Porto Alegre, Brazil. He felt that people are too serious and some- what closed here. School was difficult for him because of his language handicapp. All in all, he found that there is more free- dom in the United States-especially in dress. From Saltsjobaden, Sweden came Torb- jorn Torell. He found that morals were stricter here and that people were not quite as friendly as he expected. He did not find any difference in schools except none of the campuses were open here. He was surprised by the wide school sup- port of sports-especially basketball. Al- though schools have athletic teams in Sweden, people do not support them as much. The Gabaee brothers, Kamran and Mehran came from Teheran, Iran a year and a half ago. Both were surprised by people's reactions to them and their help- fulness. They were also surprised by the freedom youth have here. Masaimi Aizawa came to the United States from Tokyo, japan. She found ad- justment tothe American way of life easy especially since she is living with relatives. 4 Foreign exchange students Masaimi Aizawa from japan and Diana Catano from Mexico.
