One Gap Opened While Another Gap Closed George Bement as Captain Spavento seemed to be the center of hostile attention in the opening scene of A Gap in Generations Katella s first prod uctlon of the 72 73 theatrical season was A Gap In Generations The mood for the evening w Renaissance and a very enjoyable evening it was too The play revolved around a roving troupe of poor but seldom honest actors. It was a rather unusual high school play to stage, but the experiment proved highly successful and was a delight to those who saw it and to those who performed it. JtbX.,..,aw' t Drama Club, due to its untiring efforts to bring culture to Katella, was very busy this year with popcorn sales at football games and the Halloween parade and candy sales at the school and on their own time. The money raised through these sales went to production costs and toward equipment for Katella's very own theatre. While selling popcorn was not exactly Laurence Olivier's style, it did help.
