Christmas descended upon Katella unexpectedly and in a hurry as usual. The frosty mornings that came so early this year, vanished after a brief period of winter weather and we were in- clined to settle down and dream of a warm, if not white, Christmas. The sights at Katella during the Yule- tide season were the traditional ones. There was a candy cane sales sponsored by the Girls League, the Choral Depart- ment once again sold Christmas trees and took part in the Holiday in Music program, and ofcourse, that perennial favorite, Mr. Oakley Ethington was back with his beautiful Christmas tree, spreading goodwill and cheer throughout Katella from room 23.
