Dear Students, As this year draws to a close, search your heart to rediscover those things which give meaning to your life at Kaplan High. Some will re- main for one reason or another, vivid in your memories. Others will grow in significance with the passage of time. These we call endearing values-qualities such as honesty, courage, perseverance, justice, and respect. Your education, whether in school or out, is just beginning. It is a process which will continue throughout your lives. Choose wisely in the decisions which you make, for each will help fashion your most price- less possession, your character. School Board Members Ward Nine . . . VERMILION PARISH SCHOOL BOARD BUILDING Dr. J. Peverly Broussard, a practicing veterinarian for eleven years in the city of Kaplan, is currently presi dent of the Vermilion Parish School Board. A 1948 graduate of Kaplan High school, he at- tended college at U.S.L. for four years and later Texas A. and M., where he received his D.V.M. degree. He particularly enjoys hunting, reading current events, and watching football games.
