An eager young man full of anticipation for the future walked out of the doors of Northwestern State College for the last time. Little did he know then that the footsteps of life would lead him to his present position as superintendent of Vermilion Parish Schools. Superintendent G. J. Ledet holds the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education. Soon after his graduation from Northwestern he became the principal of Abbeville Elementary School. His excel- lent executive ability was proven to Kaplan residents when he served as Principal during the absence of Mr. B. J. Bordelon. In his present position he is a respected administrator who has capably guided our school system through its most rapid period of progress.
