Its a chilly autumn afternoon at Wesleyan, a small midwestern college. A scene of tranquility greets you as you walk up the steps of Pioneer Hall. Outside the world is peaceful and calm but one never knows whats happening inside AS WESLEYAN TURN No, no, Mr. Pitts. Ive tried so very hard but I just don't have ten thousand dollars to pay my tuition for this week. Yes, yes, I remember what your button says but . . . but . . . A shot rings out. Trudy, the secretary, runs in- to Mr. Pitts ofce. Not another one, Mr. Pitts. Thats the fth one today. Alright, alright. Ill call the cafeteria to pick her up. Meanwhile, in the Registrars Office . . . Oh please Mean Mama. Please dont beat me anymore. I promise Ill never drop a class again. He] me someone! Please! Sorry. son, Dr. Fancy says as he jogs out of his office. d really like to help but Im ten minutes late for my tennis game. Make an ap- pointment with my secretary Lue Ann.
