Yearbooks are traditionally non-traditional . . . they often take unusual forms and, even more often, are the result of extensive efforts to be different. Yearbook staff members usually work long and hard to make sure their yearbook is unique in both form and content. The 1975-76 COYOTE staff has put together a different book in many ways. Some of the uniqueness is the result of a great effort. But, some of the differences in form and content are the result of some unusual, unavoidable circumstances. This edition of the COYOTE covers two full years in the life of Kansas Wesleyan. Pictured inside are students who attended Wesleyan during 1974, 1975, and 1976. Seniors who graduated in 1975 AND 1976 are honored, activities held both years are featured. As this is written, many people are still asking why there wasn't a yearbook in the summer of 1975. But since the real purpose of a yearbook is to help maintain memories over a long period, in 25 years, the reasons why there wasn't a yearbook in 1975 won't mean much. So we're not even going to mention why . lt's enough to say that here is a chronicle of two good years at Kansas Wesleyan. Many fun things happened and even more good people passed through the school. We hope some of the uniqueness of those years is captured here. The COYOTE staff tried to produce a different yearbook, not because we HAD to but because we WANTED to. We hope you enjoy the book and judge us according to its content not its reason. For the members of the Class of 1975 and the Class of 1976: here's your yearbook. We hope you'll treasure it. 1975-76 Coyote Editors

Long hours of work, dedication, frustration, and loyalty are involved when the responsibility of running a college institution is undertaken. Many people are involved, and each one's job is important for the betterment of the college. In reviewing this, the 1975-76 COYOTE yearbook is deservedly dedicated to the Office of the Registrar. Yet, more specifically we might say, this yearbook is deserved- ly dedicated to Berniece Hamilton, Bobbie Nelson, and LoVaurne Rasmusson, who ARE the Office of the Regis- trar. Many long and tiring hours are spent by these women trying to make every possible adjustment they can so students will be able to smoothly graduate from this insti- tution. Without their work and support we would have great difficulty adjusting our schedules and programs dur- ing our four year stay at Kansas Wesleyan. We would also like to add that the COYOTE staff is indebted to Berniece, Bobbie and LoVaurne for the help they have given to us in preparing this yearbook. lt is with these things in mind that much thanks and appreciation are extended to the Office of the Registrar.
