F one can believe what one sees in the newspapers and hears in chapel, life is just one tribulation after another. We hear a great deal of pathetic stuff about the persistence of marathan dan- cers, flagpole sitters, and endurance fliersg but we never hear much concern- ing the vast horde of college professors who day after day suffer contacts with dumb students. No, not even one little news item. Don't profs ever crack under the strain? Or are they all cracked? You explain it. ' Anyhow, on the following pages we present our own entries in that great endurance contest - yea, we nominate them for the next book of martyrs- the administrative staff and faculty of Kansas Wesleyan. The road they travel is no shady boulevard. Believe it or not, they do manage to retain an opti- mistic frame of mind towards Modern Youth. We can't understand them. ll fl! if FACULTY
