slut esmsugmt 3 Prince Wolf and Firebird What production featured fighting princes, a good wolf and a beautiful firebird in danger of dying? Why, jackson Lacey's, The Prince, the Wolf and the Firebird! Directed by led Davis and performed by the Theatre for Young People, more than 1,000 children enjoyed a Saturday afternoon in early October amid talking animals, plotting princes and golden apples. It seemed that a certain Russian king with three sons and a golden apple tree noticed his apples were being stolen. Seeing how each apple took 17 years to grow, he sent his sons after the culprit. That culprit was the Firebird, who needed to eat seven apples every 100 years, or he would die. The princes adventures began there. David Parris and Thomas Zackary as plotting princes performed well as did squeaky- voiced Rhonda Blair as the fair Princess Moushka. Much of the fun stemmed from the animals characters' reactions to human foibles. And the kids just loved it!

Time of Your Life Gutfracking emotion ranging from pathos to bathos marked the presentation of William Saroyan's Time of Your Life. The loneliness of the drinking set in San Francisco's lovv-rent district set the scene for the Pulitzer Prize winning play, but the compassion of one man's soul stole the hearts. William Kuhlke, professor of theatre, portrayed the vvealthy drifter, joe, whose companionship eased the problems of the inbibers on the waterfront. Greg Hill designed the sets, which included a pinball machine and an antique jukebox, That realism was effectively counterbalanced bythe well-versed 22-member cast Optimistic in tone and sensitive in style, Saroyan's play was given a searching enactment. The cast proved that happiness is where, and with vvhom, you find it.
