Nitty Gritty Dirt Band The dirt and rain meshed into a synthesis of electronic Cowboy joy when the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band brought out their fiddles and banjos to quiet a passing storm. Featuringthe powerful playing of john McEuen on guitar, bass, violin and steel guitar with the high vocal range of bassist and pianist, lim lbbotson, the Dirt Band's repertoire of bluegrass, Cajun and rock fused perfectly into the Midwest's scheme of scene Most exciting was their blend of musical professionalism and showmanship. The Dirt Band shows lesser groups that it takes an unbroken circle of power and performance to excite and entertain.
