i. ACADEMI GRGANIZATICNS As the school year of I985-86 started up, so did the aca- demic organizations. A softball team was formed and played in a tournament in Parsons, Kansas. Volleyball was played in Coffeyville with other teams from around the state. A freshman election picnic was held for candidates. Parents day and several other events were held during the school year. At parents day, Andy Andrews delighted audi- ences. Among the other events sponsored by the clubs was a Bowlathon, which raised money for scholarships. A welcom- ing day for President Tilmans, and a blood drive for the Red Cross. Finally, tutors were provided to help students with class materials. All these activities and others were sponsored by Circle K, Tau Omicron Tau CTOTD, Christian Student Association, K-Tech club, Modeler's Club, and Ham Radio Club. ll T fig 8- v Matt Wilson. For their first year, coach Don Cassatt and assistant coach Bob Homolka did quite well thanks to a good squad of students playing. They compiled three wins in five meets. Not bad for a first year team. Cn the team was Glen Lutke, Mike Pflughoft, Rob Han- son, Donnie Wright, Roger Emig, and Doug Koreger. ffl
