I .oi I 'x P' , 1 E W... fall During the l985-86 school year, two major dances were held. On October 26, the Halloween dance was held at the KTI gym. That night, students from Kansas Tech and other area colleges were given a break from tedious studies. On February I3, the Valentines dance was also held at Prime Time, an area bar. This dance was sponsored by area colleges. During the evening there was an air band and a valentines booth. 12 s S 4 GYM 7' 16 ' ,ff l -fs ' 1 Left, no one was chicken about attending any parties around Salina. especially when students from Brown Mackie and other schools were present. The idea was the brainchild of the SGA to promote Kansas Tech to Salina. When the opportunity to present the public with Kansas Tech. arose, the students really got behind the project. It took two weeks of innovations to finish on time, but it was a project that will probably never be equaled again. Karen Keehner, Kevin Weisbender, Greg Dome, Larry Winter. The Gift of Life BLOOD A rigorous class schedule is not the only reason blood is drawn at Kansas Tech. Besides the competition of grades, as well as sport activities, students. staff and faculty are drawn in a spirit of voluntarism-they volun- teered in force to give blood to the Red Cross. ln fact, the Red Cross had one of its most successful stops on the Kansas Tech campus.
