THE ANNUAL STAFF In spite of exasperation, high hopes dampened by occasional discouragement when pictures failed to materialize, ideas wouldn't come, and time went too fast, the annual staff had the satisfaction of cap- turing life at Schilling Institute of Technology this year for future memories. To provide an editorial and pictorial account of the months just completed, to record events of his- torical importance to students and patrons, to reflect the many moods of the year . . . these were some of the aspirations of the Liaison staff, composed by the students of the Schilling Institute of Technology. f ,ffl fl 4'-Q., ,F 's Mr, Harrell Guard, annual staff advisor, Gary McCargar, editor, Russell Savage, assistant editor, Ken Morgan, Danny Drummond, advertisement, Patricia Detwiler, Don Oller, Floyd Riggs, Robert Cooley, class editors, Charlotte Fuller, Claire Gestl, organizations editors, Gary Kaufman, Gary McCutcheon, activities and sports editors. Our model line numbers 18, from the single engine Beechcraft Musketeer to the twin turbine-powered pressurized King Air and new 17 place 99 Airliner. Our military support programs - including missile targets - contribute substantially to national defense. And our aerospace division is involved in the space travels of Gemini, Apollo and LM. We are proud of the first Beechcraft, the classic Model 17 Staggerwing which took to the skies in 1932 to break record after record and become the standard by which other airplanes were judged. It also set standards for perfection of design and construction which became a tradition at Beech, and gave birth to the magnificient King Air, world leader in corporate aircraft. There are more than 10, OOO of us Beechcrafters now, employed in Wichita, Salina and Liberal, Kansas and Boulder, Colorado. And we're a proud lot, as We should be. Our company is strong and stable, -with roots deep in the American economy . . . our future is secure. The World of aviation is the World of tomorrow. Ahead of us are potentials so exciting that their scope defies definite examination. But inherent to all at Beechcraft are the capabilities to seek out greater eras of achievement.
