The Future Farmers of America is an organization devoted to leadership and development ofthe student. The Kansas Chapter of the Future Farmers with thirty-one members this year, has a new advisor, Mr. Ron CSnuffyj Smith. Under his supervision, the club brought an exciting event to its community. The Texas Cowgirls, a complete girl basketball team came to Kansas and played a game against a local team. This game was enjoyed by young and old alike. The F.F.A. participates in many activities. One 78FFA. such activity was a corn yield contest which was won by Lowell Turner with a 198.4 bushels of corn an acre standing. Several other boys from the Kansas F.F.A. were in the top ten. The Kansas Chapter has also participated in a Land Use and Selection Contest and a Parlimentary Procedure Contest, they won both. This years Sweetheart ofthe Kansas Chapter is Joyce Hawkins. The F.F.A. has many plans for the future and wc hope they are successful in everything they do.

The Industrial Arts Club this year is a new organization. The club is under the supervision of Mr. Allen Price. Mr. Price has brought a new meaning to I n d U al the club. The club makes projects and sells them. One of the first projects was a gun stock, the second and a A C I U b - - - little more difficult was a cedar chest. D I I S K I I I A committee of 8 to 10 boys were picked to do the job.
