SEAT Treas Character, scholarship, leadership, and service are the qualities a student must have to be a member of the Kan sas High School National Honor Society. The N.H.S. is made up of sophomores, juniors, and seniors chosen by the faculty. Induction ceremonies are held in the spring and the fall of each year. In the fall juniors and seniors only are inducted, and in the spring sophomores are elected as probationary members. In the following fall these newly inducted sophomores re- ceive full membership. The Honor Society sponsors many activities each year such as: a Carnival, an alumni basketball game and chilli supper for the Myra Barker Scholarship Fund, and the student exchange days.
