IVIr. Gathman... a Friend to All We, the staff of the 1970 Kanillio dedicate our yearbook to one of our most admired and respected teachers, Mr. Dennis Gathman. From our association with him during the past two years, we have recognized his integrity and sincerity in guiding us. We have come to know that whenever we needed help while struggling through Biology I and Il, Chemistry, and Physics, that he would be there with help and encouragement. His patient and able spon- sorship of class meetings, the Homecoming Dance, and the Junior-Senior Prom is greatly appreciated by the Junior Class. Mr. Gathman has actively participated in extracurricular activities. He has been one of our biggest supporters of the athletic program, backing the Bulldogs not only at basketball games, where he has been scorekeeper and fan bus sponsor, but in track and baseball as well. I We have learned great lessons from his 'fwizardlyn teaching and have spent many memorable hours in lab, even though sometimes many of us hit a usnagf' In knowing him, we have come to recognize Mr. Gathman not only as an out- standing teacher, but as a man with an amiable and genial personality, who has un selfishly given his time, energy, and knowledge to the well being of the entire stu- dent body. Truly, Mr. Gathman, you are a friend to us all,

sf fi: A Arthur Leeth, Superintendent Mr. Shoot, principal of KHS a short two years, has served his position well. His avid interest in the well-being of the student body is made evident by the fact that he is a friend to all. Often the man behind the scenes is not appreciated for he is given the respon- sibility ofthe enforcements of rules. However, this individual is often the backbone of the good educational system. Good Leadership... an Essential Not only is Mr. Leeth efficient as a superintendent, but also during his three years at KHS, he has contributed his time by occasionally filling in as a substitute teacher.
